Happy Easter in San Ramon

We had the most wonderful Easter/Conference Weekend. Grandma and Grandpa Hock helped us to come and visit them for Easter weekend. We enjoyed every minute of it.

Michael worked all day and night at the Shock game on Friday. He got home at 1 in the morning. He still had so much energy that he didn't fall asleep til 3 am. We flew to San Ramon on Saturday afternoon and headed straight for In-N-Out. We then headed home to see Grandpa (to eat our yummy lunch too). Mike and Michael headed out for Priesthood session while Eileen and I enjoyed a chick flick. Michael was worried about falling asleep because he was pretty tired but he said all the talks were so great that that he didn't. Josh (Michael's best friend growing up) and Sarah came over to visit. We talked and laughed, it was so good to see them. We always enjoy hanging out with them. Sarah is pregnant and due any day. I'm sad we forgot to take a picture of all of us. It was fun to see you guys- thanks for coming over.

Easter morning we enjoyed conference, yummy Swedish pancakes, and just being together. That afternoon I went to visit the Pattersons (my cousins) at their new house just 15 minutes from Michael's parents. It was fun to visit with them for a bit and see their CA pride:)

We didn't get around to the Easter Egg hunt until Monday night for family night but we did have one. It was a little tough for Houst to understand the point of the basket. He thought it was a challenge to see how many he could hold/suck on. By then end he got the basket thing down.
During the weekend we enjoyed walking through daddy's old high school, walking through the mall, hanging with grandma and grandpa,
playing with the big workout ball (he is a fan of any ball nowadays and this was like the mother of any ball he had seen!)

conquering the steps (there are two steps from the kitchen to the family room that Houston mastered the first day. He would get down and crawl backwards down them like a champ. Sometimes he would get down on all 4s a little to far back and have to crawl a long way and he would look at us like, "hey, who moved the steps back?". This is him working up to the big steps. I love at the end when he goes up to face the big step like "you got nothin' on me!")

and giving the many rounds of kisses.

Part II to come soon!

Oh you handsome devil you!

Houston is starting to look so old to us. As any parent I'm sure can testify, we are not quite sure we are ready for him to be getting so big so fast. Last week was one of those days that it was evident he is no longer a "baby/toddler/infant", he looks like our little man now. The dramatic mother in me can't help but think about how time goes so fast- seeing his first little white shirt and tie makes my mind rush... "in no time he is going to be passing the sacrament and then off on his mission!".
For now I'm just enjoying every minute of it!
As you can tell from his face, we still have not figured out nap schedule for Sundays. This was on daylight savings last Sunday. It is funny to think it was just a year ago, but also that it was as long as a year ago, that his happened.
