Hoop Fest and Pool Time

The last weekend in June we had a wonderful family weekend. We enjoyed Daddy time by going to play tennis, heading to the pool, and going to Hoopfest.

We all got tennis rackets for Michael's birthday and have enjoyed going as a family. Houston sometimes gets extremely focused on the game as he did this day so the pictures weren't the best. I just love it when he wears his little tennis shoes and shorts while he carries around his racket.

Spokane has some awesome pools with fun kids areas and adult big water slides. The only problem is that this is pretty much ALL that Spokane has to offer so they are usually WAY packed and this day was no different. We got there when it opened and within minutes the pool was packed with odd fitting swimsuits of all sizes, children of ages, and tattoos of all designs.

Hoopfest is the biggest 3-on-3 tournament in the world. We walked along the river from Gonzaga campus downtown to the park (our favorite walk in Spokane). It has beautiful views of the campus and the river. I love it when you can tell how relaxed Houst is because he likes to lay back with both hands behind his head.

We were amazed by how many people were there. People travel from states away to come play. They also have food and item booths. We stayed for a slam dunk exhibition and a 3-pt shooting contest. I won us a shirt! It was a fun afternoon with the family and a great end to the weekend.
