Friday was a little rainy so we went to the Spokane Children's Museum. Amy says it is one of the smallest she has seen and they go to a LOT! But it still seemed to be plenty for the kids for a few hours (the upper right picture captured a fish from the "market" being thrown by Wayne).
After the museum, we headed across the street to Riverfront Park for a picnic and to see the falls.
We headed home for naps to get ready for big game night. The game didn't START until 8 pm (9 pm Denver time) which was late for us all so we were glad to have our few hours of rest before our big night.
Wayne had agreed to do a promotion activity for Michael between 3rd and 4th quarter. We were so excited for Wayne and he was AWESOME! He had 5 chances to throw the ball through the uprights, then punt it, then kick it, each time moving further and further away. Now, remember that this is arena football so the uprights are very close together. He nailed the pass and the punt (earning himself a $45 gift certificate to Outback and his whole seat section free Bloomin' onions), then had 3 chances to kick it. He did so well... the whole arena was TOTALLY into it! But it ended up a heart breaker as they got closer each time with the final one hitting the upright and bouncing out. The whole arena let out a sigh! I will post videos later.
It was a great day with an awesome game night! It was so fun to have family here to go to the Shock game with me and even BETTER to have them get involved with Michael's work. Thanks so much for coming out guys! It really meant a lot to us.On Saturday we went to the park and enjoyed the splash pads. We played a little hand and foot while the kids played. Then we headed to taco bell to use our free chulupas we got from the game the night before because they scored more than 60 points. Top right is Dillon trying to participate in the hot sauce eating contest.
Amy headed home Saturday night and Wayne had to leave Sunday morning. The kids stayed with us a few more days so I post a bit about that later. Thanks for the good times Dittbrenner family! We love you and can't wait for the next visit.

I am so jealous I wasn't there for such a fun trip! I am glad that they have been able to visit you and Mitzi now, so they can COME BACK AND VISIT US NOW!
Way to go Wayne on doing so well with the promotion. Too bad he barely missed the FG.
So great! Post videos of the Big Kick!!
