Extreme Hide-N-Seek

As mentioned in a recent post, we have had some great times in our few months living here. One of our favorite family activities is playing hide-n-seek (see closet photos in collage below-click to enlarge).

On January 2 we were playing one evening and soon we found it was really dark so we continued to play but now with a flashlight. It was Houston, Michael, Eileen, and I playing when Michael found the BEST hiding spot. So we made Mike come play and be the seeker. This house has one main hallway. Michael decided he was batman and climbed up and hid suspended at the top of the hallway. Because of the dark, and waiting for his eyes to adjust, Mike had no idea while he was seeking that he was actually standing right underneath floating Michael. Michael reached down and grabbed Mike and we all had a good laugh. But that is when it happened! Michael started to get down and this loud crackling sounded through the hall. Yep... Michael (aka Batman) had put a body print right in the drywall.
Michael felt terrible! Mike and Eileen were great sports about it and said they had been meaning to re-paint anyways so might as well fix it all! Our hide-n-seek isn't as intense after that night!
