Big Orange Balloon

On New Year's Day we packed up the cars full of kids and headed to the Orange Balloon. The Orange is at the "Great Park of Irvine", formerly El Toro Marine Base. It is this huge air balloon that holds like 30 people in a doughnut shape that takes you up so you can see all of Irvine and sometimes more. The only bad thing was it was a 2 1/2 hour wait (yes folks, see the picture and count them... 2 1/2 hours waiting with all 12 grandkids- and great grandma and grandpa). They allow you to check out a bunch of sports equipment and just go enjoy the huge park area.
We had a great time and it was a beautiful view. It was a lovely day and nice to finally be outside with everyone together.

that actually was a very fun time. I enjoyed being outside for that long without just being at a little kids park. Your husband was a good sport.
